Andy Fisher

With almost 30 years of experience in the insolvency industry, Andy Fisher is regarded as one of Canada’s leading Licensed Insolvency Trustees. Working life began for Andy in 1994 when he joined his father’s trustee firm Alan Lawson, Fisher Inc. The firm was heralded as one of the leading insolvency practices in the Durham, Peterborough and Belleville regions.

Fast-forward to 2020, and Andy was on the move again, this time founding his own firm AFA.

As president of his own firm, Andy has the opportunity to share his extensive insolvency knowledge with those who need it most. He is passionate about working with people to help them solve their financial problems.

Outside of the office, Andy is a husband and a dad of two. Family time is always a top priority for our president, but he’s also a keen traveller and sports enthusiast. From Australian Rules Football, which he played in Toronto for a decade, to hockey, he’s proud to stay as active as he can.

Lana Lopatina

As an international student and a graduate from Brock University, Lana is proud to state that insolvency was her immediate career choice upon graduation. Passion for this field of work quickly transformed into a lot more than just a career; it became a full-time hobby and a source of joy.

She became a Licensed Insolvency Trustee in 2019, which was preceded by years of experience working within a corporate restructuring practice, assisting both corporate debtors and lenders in finding resolutions to their financial burdens. The pleasure of assisting individual debtors eventually took over, as she switched her focus to consumer insolvency.

Lana is proud to represent the Canadian insolvency system and to promote federally regulated insolvency proceedings to individuals in need. In her free time, she is most likely to be found in her natural habitat, watching Formula 1 races, or enjoying beautiful Canadian seasons outdoors.
